Bella Vista Appoints and Reappoints Members to Key Boards
Bella Vista’s City Council moved forward with several key appointments during the April 21 work session, focusing on boards that support local development and community initiatives.
Linda Fieth was appointed to Position 1 of the Tree Advisory Board for a three-year term ending May 1, 2028. Fieth brings a strong background in landscape design, having studied at OSU-OKC and worked in both private landscaping and theme park maintenance. In her application, Fieth said she was drawn to Bella Vista’s natural beauty and expressed a commitment to preserving the city's tree canopy.
Meanwhile, Mike Abb was reappointed to Position 2 of the Tree Advisory Board, also for a term ending May 1, 2028. Abb currently serves as the board’s chair and has been instrumental in projects like Bella Vista’s Tree City USA designation and the city’s Monarch Migration City efforts.
Additionally, Cody Moore was appointed to the Board of Construction Appeals to fill an unexpired term following the resignation of Wade Stewart. Chief Sims of the Fire Department recommended Moore for the position, noting his qualifications to help oversee construction and code appeals.
These appointments ensure that the Tree Advisory Board and Construction Appeals Board remain fully staffed to meet the city’s growing needs as Bella Vista continues to expand.
