Sewer Line Expansions Set to Boost Capacity in Growing Rogers Corridors
Rogers Water Utilities is moving ahead with major upgrades to its sanitary sewer system, with two large-scale pipeline projects designed to support ongoing growth in the Uptown and Pinnacle Hills areas.
The first project includes the installation of a 24-inch sewer line extension to serve new development along the Pinnacle Hills corridor. The second project—currently in the early design phase—will construct a parallel 36-inch gravity sewer line leading to the Osage Creek Regional Treatment Plant, adding redundancy and capacity to the region’s wastewater infrastructure.
Officials say these improvements are critical to ensuring the city can keep up with demand from residential and commercial expansion. As more high-density developments and businesses move into the area, the utility must replace or bypass aging infrastructure that no longer meets modern needs.
“These upgrades are a proactive measure to prevent bottlenecks in the system,” said city engineers. “It’s about staying ahead of the curve and ensuring reliable service as Rogers continues to grow.”
Construction is expected to begin in phases over the next few years. Together, the projects represent one of the most ambitious sewer system expansions in the city’s history and a key part of its long-term utility master plan.
